This is the place on the interwebs where I combine what are perhaps my two favorite things: cooking and photography (my wife is a close fourth, edged out just slightly by beer). I learned to cook as a kid, watching and helping my mom some, then experimenting on my own. Once I grew out of wanting to be a cowboy or an wildlife explorer, I decided I wanted to be a chef. But, like all things meaningful, I put it aside for some reason. I tried being a rock star instead, though I quickly realized that would go nowhere financially speaking. In the end, I landed in the world of design and photography. The delight I took in kitchen experimentation never waned, nor did my tendency to make plates as pretty as possible. I recently developed a fascination for fighting off a hungry wife and taking pictures of most of the food we make. These photos would make their way onto the internet, where friends would make encouraging statements of jealousy and drool; thus, I Ate That! was born.
