This weekend we harvested the first round of peppers from our cayenne plant. This plant is insane! Pictured are roughly 35 peppers. A few weeks ago we pulled maybe 5 – 10 ripe peppers for some salsa. We’ve also been using greens ones from time to time so I would guess that we’ve pulled maybe 50 peppers off this plant. After this harvest I counted 70 more peppers still on the plant! Plus, there are 10 – 15 buds or new growths. For one plant that started out about 4 – 5″ tall, we are very satisfied!

Ha! I’ve got a little pepper plant that was brought over on the boat with Vinny’s family. (Well, I’ve got some of it anyway) That thing cranks out peppers year around. It’s insane! I’d like to grow a couple different types soon.
I wish we were neighbors so we could have a pepper swap — I have a thai red chili plant that is about to absolutely APESHIT with peppers. The poor little branches can’t even support them all — they’re just buckling under the weight.
oh man, i wish the same thing! i want some thai chiles! our plant was doing the same thing, falling over to the point we had to get a stake to hold it upright.
