Breakfast with Friends

Last night we had some friends over to celebrate our dog, Hayley’s 13th birthday. I gotta say it’s the silliest excuse i’ve ever had to drink too much, but drink too much we all did. Once one has had too much tequila, mixing more margaritas is a bad idea. This resulted in having breakfast guests which we love. I dont’ know why but making breakfast for friends, is highly enjoyable for both of us.

BarkMitzvah Breakfast

Megan made some great skillet potatoes with bacon, chopped steak & kale topped with sour cream. Both the potatoes and the kale along with an onion are from our wonderful CSA. I did a quick egg scramble with crumbled goat cheese. Our good friend Erin is in town from North Carolina. We put her to work cutting up some bananas, apples, peaches and mangos. While she did that I made a quick blackberry & brown sugar sauce. Add some coffee, juice and good friends and it’s the best part of waking up! And now, I think it’s naptime…
