Dinner With the Parents — All of Them

With Megan grad­u­at­ing from grad school, her par­ents came to town for the com­mence­ment. While they were in town we made din­ner for them and my par­ents. Megan’s par­ents alway sbring us great fresh veg­eta­bles from their gar­den and often they will give us fresh seafood as they live near the North Carolina coast. With that, I went to town on this scrump­tous meal.

I made Chili Lime grilled Sea Bass topped with a fresh Pineapple Mango Salsa. While at the grill i also grilled zuchini & pur­ple aspara­gus. The pur­ple aspara­gus cooks down to a green colour but tasts slightly sweeter than its green sib­ling. Megan made gar­lic mashed pota­toes and a tasty salad to go along and she also made a straw­berry short­cake. all around a tasty meal that made both our par­ents proud. and full.
